It isn't at all uncommon for infomercials to be seen as overly aggressive. However, when done correctly, infomercials don't have to have a forceful "sales-y" feeling. Ah, the true cornerstone of the infamous infomercial, and it is that for one single reason: it is always more convincing to show individuals that a product can work for them rather than simply telling them. Testimonials and case studies can show people what their lives could be like if they were to purchase and use your product. However, you will want to make sure that you stick to "typical" results rather than the few case studies that achieved "insane" results. While it's true you want to showcase those, and you should, it is incredibly important that you put more of your focus on the results that your customers are more likely to achieve when they use your product.
2. Repeat Key Messages
If you have watched an infomercial before, then you know that repetition is very popular. Hammering your key messages into the minds of your potential customers is not a bad thing; however, too much of something can be. The best way you can go about repeating your key messages is to turn your message around and say it from a new angle. Come up with a new metaphor, story, or analogy to get your point across over and over. Otherwise, you will be just like all the other infomercials that are already on television, and that's what you are trying to avoid.
3. Dig into a Problem
More than likely, your product solves a particular problem that your prospective customers may be experiencing. Use your infomercial to uncover where that problem may lead if it is left unresolved. Hopefully, you can bring in a related case study or testimonial. Ultimately, digging into the problem allows you to emphasize with your prospects, and then you can provide them with the product that you can show has the ability to solve their problem.

Hello, my name is Meredith Vaccaro and I have worked in the public library for many years. In addition to having shelves and shelves of books for the public to check out and read, we also have audio visual equipment for members of the community to use. Various organizations and non-profit groups us this equipment for teaching and instructional purposes because it's very effective.
